The Bicycle Recycle Project at Seven Hills Middle School in
Nevada City, California began as a labor of love – one that
teaches students technical and mechanical skills, the value of
recycling, and the satisfaction of helping others less fortunate
than themselves.
The Bicycle Recycle Project took shape in the mind and heart of a
middle school counselor/ licensed therapist/avid cyclist who figured
it just might be a good idea to inspire kids by giving them skills
they could use in their everyday lives.
In a few short years, the Project has grown into one of the
school’s most popular and successful classes. And it happens
after school! |
